A common dissident LARP involves the supposedly enlightened observer asserting that right and left are irrelevant, and that they’re “two wings on the same bird.” We’ve heard people say that “the elites” or the “Epstein Class” are seeking to control us plebs by using the false binary of right and left to divide the population. “Bro, they’ve got you fighting a culture war to distract you from the class war.”
There are an increasing number of right-wingers who have been falling for this charade, especially since the start of the Iran War. This, along with the odd circumstances surrounding the “release” of the Epstein files, have given a certain faction of the right the necessary confirmation bias to “prove” their assertion that President Trump is controlled by Israel and Jewish interests. This has ignited a feud between two factions of the right: a neoconservative aligned faction and an anti-Zionist faction. This has played out with both of these factions trying to poison the well around the presumptive GOP Presidential nominee in 2028, J.D Vance.
The real IQ test for right wingers is to not fall for this false binary. One can oppose and criticize both the neocon/establishment faction as well as the anti-Zionists, sometimes derisively referred to as the “Retard Right.” Once you spot the symbiotic relationship between the two factions, you can’t unsee it. The following post lays it out.
Whether each faction knowingly or unknowingly participates in this dialectic, the logical endpoint of this scam is to return the American right to the pre-Trump status quo.
Much of the establishment and neocon-aligned right has smartly aligned many of its goals with the goals of the Trump administration, much to the chagrin of the anti-Zionists and more populist right wing. Because of this, anti-Zionists claim that the Trump administration is doing the bidding of Israel and that MAGA has been co-opted by pundits such as Mark Levin and Ben Shapiro.
Online politics being what they are, people looking for views and clicks like to conveniently omit data points such as the Trump administration’s major wins against DEI, the administrative state, and the largest deportation program in American history. Selling outrage works, unfortunately.
The rampant demoralization and negativity being pushed by this faction of the right seeks to suppress enthusiasm for the GOP going into the midterms, and ultimately hamstring the President and his administration.
More importantly perhaps, both factions have ratcheted up attacks on Vice President J.D. Vance and seek to delegitimize him as a presidential candidate in 2028, despite him being the obvious successor to lead MAGA after Trump.
Pragmatism, not adherence to a rigid ideology, has defined the Trump movement. In the lead up to the 2016 election, then candidate Donald Trump attacked several of the conservative movement’s sacred cows. Ideology, as it turned out, was not a useful tool for measuring success and quality of life, despite what many conservatives wanted to think.
Vance has dropped enough hints over recent years that he has a deeper understanding of power dynamics than most conservatives have or pretend to have. He is obviously not wedded to conservative dogma regarding “limited government” (I use air quotes because I find this to be a misnomer). This, along with his Israel skepticism (not explicit anti-Zionism), have made him the target of many neoconservative attacks. Those who benefit from the pre-Trump status quo want nothing to do with someone who has signaled these things.
Somewhat more puzzling are certain far-right and anti establishment right-wing figures who have been attacking the VP. People who are explicit racialists and wignats are at least being consistent with their ideology when going after the VP for the fact that his wife is of Indian descent and his children are of course, half-Indian. But many who seem to care about right-wing, nationalist, and paleoconservative values should see in Vance the ideal standard bearer. In this following clip from John Doyle’s show, Vance clearly shows that he understands what time it is.
The only conclusion to draw from the attacks on Vance from each side of the right wing is that they’re both in on the scam. Both, whether knowingly or unknowingly (I suspect mostly unknowingly on the part of the Retard Right) are seeking to defang the right and return it to the party of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. We can’t allow that to happen.
