In a Truth Social post, Trump said a lawsuit was "being drawn now" and that he was "strongly considering adding some of the contributors to this Fake Organization," naming George Soros among CAP's funders. A CAP analysis by Chandler Hall, associate director of public safety, argued violent crime was already falling before Guard deployments and found "no evidence that National Guard deployments have reduced violent crime," warning extended deployments through end of 2026 could cost taxpayers more than $1.7 billion.
