Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has launched a sweeping investigation into more than 120 foreign biolabs funded with American taxpayer dollars, reigniting scrutiny over gain-of-function research and the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Gabbard announced Monday that the Office of the Director of National Intelligence is conducting a full review of U.S.-backed biological laboratories operating in over 30 countries, including more than 40 facilities in Ukraine. The probe comes as President Donald Trump continues his crackdown on risky gain-of-function experiments tied to dangerous pathogens.
