A growing showdown is erupting between Los Angeles officials and the Trump administration after Democrat Mayor Karen Bass authorized the installation of hundreds of anti-ICE signs across the city, a move critics say wasted taxpayer money on politically charged messaging with no legal authority.
More than 450 signs have now appeared at parks, libraries, transit hubs, parking lots, and other public locations across Los Angeles declaring that city property cannot be used for federal immigration enforcement operations.
